An Open Letter to Proud
Americans-----
We Can Take Our Country
Back!!
Dear friends,
My observation is that we all are very frustrated about the direction that our great
nation is heading. I, like you, share the concern, not just for us, but for the future of our children,
grandchildren and beyond.
The purpose of this letter is to invite you to work with me and thousands of others
just like us to change the direction of our country. I know that we can do it if we work together and utilize
sound, time-tested approaches and methods. Let me tell you how we can do this.
For some time I have been working on an approach that, based upon my experience, and
certainly the experience of many others, will allow us to change the direction of our country. This can be done
peacefully and without a great confrontation. We can do it through education, shared ideas, and a very strong
resolve. This effort is not allied with any party but is in total harmony with the Founding Documents, and further
more we believe that a return to those precepts is the only way that our nation will be able to survive.
The goal is to restore our trampled upon individual liberties, state powers, free
markets, stop federal government intrusion into private business, restore respect for, and adherence, to the values
and promises of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. We will clearly support
and hold high the principles and values which are responsible for the quality of our great
nation.
This is not a one man show. We will enlist, acknowledge, and learn from those that
are experts in various areas. In every instance when we point out deficiencies we will make sound suggestions. We
are not interested in anything but success.
The “rubber meets the road” when two people shake hands, look each other in the eye
and have complete agreement on something. We are going to offer that exact same opportunity to each and every
candidate who is running for office. We will have organization “nodes” in each state and congressional district.
These organizations will use social network technologies to build and share information.
When people visit our website, they will have an opportunity to sign up to receive a
periodic newsletter. We will also provide an opportunity to contribute, either as a one time gift, or monthly
sustaining membership. (Ask about the “Two cents for Common Sense” plan).
There is no limit of information that will be available to our members. Each
congressional “node” will have complete access to the entire website content, plus the ability to have private
conversations between each and every member.
Additionally, we must have a good relationship with each congressman’s local office
staff, and also with the Washington D.C, staff. This relationship will facilitate good communications with the
congressman and the constituents and facilitate the face to face relationship mentioned above.
Our website is TakeChargeGeneration.com. It has a combination of content, which
provide detail about various concerns of today, and a blog, which allows site visitors to enter into discussions
and share thoughts and ideas.
We will develop a pledge card, similar to the
one below, that will be sent to each person running for federal office. That card will list the candidates pledge
to adherence to the Constitution, and his/her promise to support limited federal government, individual liberty and
free markets.
The pledge cards will be scanned to our website and contain information about each
candidate. They will be signed by the candidate or, if not signed, we will place a diagonal “Did Not Sign” legend
on the card and display the card on the candidate section of our site.
We will support and publicize the candidates that do sign the pledge cards-regardless
of party affiliation. Furthermore, we will monitor their voting record and publicize it to the voters. It is more
important to be true to principles than to succomb to pressure from those that don't share our values. We will be
true to those that truly represent us.
If the above strikes a cord with you, and you would like to have a part in the
movement, and if you would be able to direct some funds for support please ACT by clicking on the buttons
below.
There will be many who will say that this job is too big, that congress is too
entrenched and that congress is deaf to the wishes of citizens, that we should just “roll over” and let the parade
go on, that we’re not smart enough or tough enough to change things.
THOSE FOLKS DON'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT THE STRENGTH AND RESOLVE OF
AMERICANS!!! Just watch, pitch in, and hang on!
Thanks very much. I think that together will walk in the footprints of those that
made it possible for us to be here, and my hope is that we can make
